Thank You to everyone who came out to support the Ontario POA Charity Golf Tournament. The event was a ton of fun and raised funds for a great cause.
We hope to see you back next year.
The Ontario Police Officers' Association (OPOA) Widows and Orphans Fund was established in the early 1990's when local businesses and business owners approached the Association wanting to donate funds for the purpose of assisting the families of Officers seriously injured or killed in the line of duty.
Since it’s inception, the OPOA Widows and Orphans Fund has been able to provide immediate financial assistance to Officers’ families. Because of the continued growth of this charitable charitable trust, the OPOA has also been able to contribute to the families of inured or fallen Officers within our agency and outside agencies throughout the State and the Country.
We actively continue to seek donations through community fundraising events, special projects and financial contributors. The annual golf tournament is our largest fundraiser. The purpose of our efforts is to keep the Fund “healthy” for those unforeseen situations when they arise. It is our goal to help families by lessening the burden of financial issues while they are struggling through difficult times. Your donation will assist us to contribute to help others when the unfortunate occurs.
