Hello, My name is Bill Maxson and I am the President of the OPOA. After graduating high school in 1987, I joined the US Army where I served 8 years as a Combat Medic. In October 1999, I joined the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department where I was assigned to Men’s Central Jail. I worked as a training officer for 2 years and then in the training department for another 2 years before leaving LASD and coming to Ontario PD.
I started with Ontario PD (OPD) on April 24, 2004. While at OPD I have worked as a patrol officer, the AG Preserve officer overseeing the dairies and farms, and now I am assigned to the Ontario International Airport detail.
I joined the OPOA in 2009 and served as the Treasurer for 8 years and then as the Vice President for 2 years. Currently I have the honor of serving as the President of the OPOA.
It is a true honor to work for the City of Ontario and to be an Officer with the Ontario Police Department. I enjoy serving on the OPOA Board and helping our members. I believe we have one of the best Police Departments and Police Associations in the nation.
